Learning the Basics
Just a reminder, if you haven’t regisgtered yet for the workshop being run by Doug Holloway on Saturday 24 Feb at 1.00 pm in the Pandanus Room, Kondari Hotel, could you please do so asap.
Doug would like to remind you to bring along your camera, instruction manual, maybe a notebook and pen, a name badge and a water bottle.
There will be a photo shoot afterwards in the grounds of the Kondari, so you can practice what you’ve just learned.
Please let me know if you’d like to come along.
cheers from Di

Learning the Basics
On Saturday 24 February, 1.00 pm in the Pandanus Room, Kondari, Doug Holloway will present a workshop for “newbies” or those who want to get a refresher on how to use their camera. Please bring your laptops and cameras (and instruction manual) as there will be a practical session following the workshop. Please also wear your name badge if you have one.
If you’re not sure about altering aperture, shutter or ISO, you could check it out on google beforehand. That way we will have a head start and get the most out of the day.
You may be aware that the Pandanus Room is not huge, so if you want a seat at this workshop, please respond to president.hbpc@gmail.com as soon as possible, to reserve your seat.
Kind regards from Di

Various : Snappers and Minutes
There are two parts to this email :
- Further to my email re “Snappers” images for December and February – you must load your “December Doll Museum” images on the old web page since there is no place on the new site for 2023 images. Your February images can go on to the new web site.
- Minutes of last night’s Committee Meeting can be found on the new web page under “Documents”. Please note these Minutes have yet to be ratified by the whole Committee.

FRIDAY SNAPPERS
As requested by a number of members, Friday Snappers will now be known as “SUPER SNAPPERS” and Snappers events will be held at a date/time which, hopefully, will allow more members to participate.
If you have not done so already, could you please load your images from December Snappers (Maryborough Dolls Museum) onto the web page, and also your images from the most recent Snappers Event (Dusk, Burrum Heads) .
Judging night for Snappers will be Tuesday 27 February, so you still have a couple of weeks to get this sorted.
Kind regards from Di

New Web Page – entering comp images
Good morning members. For your convenience, the closing date for future club comps will be 24 hours PRIOR to the competition date (for print images). This is so that members (you) can print web-site generated labels for the back of your prints, and it will also enable Comp Stewards to print a list of images/makers plus a general run sheet for the judging night.
Additionally, print comp images MUST be loaded onto the web site, or your points will not be allocated to EOY scores.
If you are having difficulty with this request, would you please discuss with either myself, or Ryan Tutor. Kind regards from Di
